I'm intrigued by the whole idea. I mean, I know when I'm on a roll, but what's the deal when a haggis is on a roll? How does haggis luck manifest? Does it just stay uneaten for longer?

My mom used her Mum's haggis recipe as a threat... "eat your peas or your next meal... why, I'll get out your grandmaw's haggis recipe!" Never ate peas so fast!

Oooh, the controversy. Some people yes, some people no. Then there is Nervous Bear, who likes his words slightly scrambled. :)

Good heavens. My husband once found a recipe for vegetarian haggis. We wondered two things...first, how can it be vegetarian, and second--why would you want to make it?

Ohhhhh..... my stomach just gave a pang of longing. For haggis, delicious haggis. For rolls, yeasty rolls. For tea, leafy goodness.

Just stab me through the heart with a stake of holly, why don'tcha?
