Ideas for insomniac crafters

My friend Mikara is crafty and one of the most creative people I know. She also runs a toy shop and it is about two weeks until Christmas, so you can imagine her state of mind. Having already posted the knitted monster, I shall share with you some other images from a recent showing of textile work by Scottish artists, from Nina Simone cushions to teddy bears made out of old wool jumpers. While I am not a crafty person, I do love to give crafty people ideas.

For lovely Moe and any other insomniac crafters, let the inspiration begin:

That frog looks like it found a measure too much phosphorous in its mangrove.

Hi Julie! I think it's a spider. Can spiders have too much phosphorous?

Greetings, fullonmommy:) - the artist's name is Claire Brown. I have a few more of hers that I will post at a later date.

The answer to 'what would Delia do?' is add Worcester sauce.

I love those bears; I've been keeping a couple of old much loved but felted and worn-out Fair Isle sweaters thinking one day I'll make them into nifty mukluk type slippers but not getting around to it. Now I think I might make them into bears. I probably won't get around to doing that either, but I shall enjoy thinking about it.
