Hurrah!
My grandmother has been through her hip operation and is in recovery. Will be in the hospital for about five days, but at least it is done and she is starting this new phase of her life.
Yippee!

Just stumbled across your blog while looking for blogs about Scotland. I'm a New York girl who has been homesick for Scotland since birth.
I was fortunate enough to travel there twice, on my own, for weeks at a time, and it was the best thing I've ever done, aside from marrying my husband (which happened years after Scotland).
I'm going to peruse your previous blog posts, and try to find out how one gets from here to there. I've never really given up the dream.
